1Who we are

Milo Life Solutions Inc. is a Canadian company based in Calgary, Alberta. In this policy, "Milo", "we", "us" and "our" refer to Milo Life Solutions Inc., and the "Site" means letsmilo.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal information when you visit the Site, contact us, or use the Ask Milo demo on the Site.

We handle personal information in line with Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act and the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act, as applicable.

2Information we collect

Information you give us. When you fill in our contact form or book a demo, we collect your name, work email, property type, and anything you choose to tell us in your message.

Ask Milo messages. When you use the Ask Milo chat on the Site, we collect the messages you type and the responses generated.

Information collected automatically. When you browse the Site, we and our service providers may collect technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and the date and time of your visit, using cookies and similar technologies.

3How we use your information

We use personal information to respond to your inquiries and demo requests; to operate, secure and improve the Site and the Ask Milo demo; to send you information about Milo where you have agreed to receive it; and to meet our legal obligations.

We only collect the personal information we need for these purposes, and we will ask for your consent before using it for any new purpose.

4Ask Milo and artificial intelligence

Ask Milo is a demonstration of our AI assistant. Messages you send are processed by our systems and by our artificial intelligence service provider in order to generate a response. Please do not enter health information, payment details or other sensitive personal information into the chat.

We keep Ask Milo conversations only for as long as is reasonably needed to operate and improve the demo and to prevent misuse, after which they are securely deleted or de-identified.

5Consent

By submitting information through the Site, you consent to its collection, use and disclosure as described in this policy. You may withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions, by contacting us. Withdrawing consent may limit our ability to respond to you.

You can unsubscribe from our marketing emails at any time using the link in the email.

6How we share information

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the Site and our business, such as website hosting, email, analytics and artificial intelligence providers, under agreements that require them to protect it and use it only for the services they provide to us.

We may also disclose personal information where required or permitted by law, or in connection with a merger, financing or sale of all or part of our business, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.

7Where your information is stored

Personal information is stored in Canada and may also be processed in the United States or other countries by our service providers. When it is outside Canada, it is subject to the laws of that country and may be accessible to its courts and authorities.

11Milo at your property

This policy covers the Site only. When Milo is installed at a senior living community, health facility, hotel or other property, information is handled under our agreement with that property and the property's own privacy practices. Residents, guests and staff should contact the property operator with questions about their information.

12Children

The Site is intended for businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the Site.

13Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the date at the top. Significant changes will be highlighted on the Site.
